Ripley The Reaper - Quix

Quix is Ripley's sidekick in 'Ripley The Reaper', a 3D platformer I was working on for a while.

Most 3D platforming heros have their little sidekicks, and Ripley's is Quix; a sentient puff of clean air who is on a mission to arrest Miasma and put an end to his toxic reign. However, Miasma penetrates his balloon suit and thus lacks a solid body to contain his corporeal form. Without a solid body, Quix would evaporate. At that moment, he comes across Ripley and houses himself within his ribcage, promising to lend Ripley his abilities in return so they can take down Miasma together. He can help give Ripley a double jump lift, hover in midair for a short time and throw his scythe out for longer.

Quix and the rest of his clean air kind use Balloon Suits to contain themselves, with an electronic LED face to express their emotions. I personally really liked this idea, but my friend wanted a more robotic look to him instead, so all this concept material was kinda scrapped.
