I've had this idea for a 3rd Avatar series after The Legend of Korra.
It would be set roughly 70 years after her time in a world heavily influenced by 90's - early 2000's culture.
The Avatar after Korra - Earthbender Xiang - had abused his power and had taken over the world in supremacy.
After his death, a new Avatar is born. However, the world now loathes and fears the Avatar for what Xiang has done, and now it is up to the New Firebending Avatar - Fuzhin - to restore faith in the Avatar's legacy.
Fuzhin is the Main Protagonist and is a Firebender. To make his current situation worse, he is also a Combustionbender, and is feared even more by the public. He was captured and enslaved from childhood, making him wholly distrustful and hateful towards the world. Yet now he has to see the good side of the world if he wants to save it.
Rin is an Airbender, and is one of the few people who still believe in the Avatar. She travels with her family to search for Fuzhin and her goal is to help him change his mind about refusing to do his Avatar duties. She's cheerful and supportive, but would want to be seen when she blows her temper.
Sahyir is a rich boy from the Northern Water Tribe who joins Fuzhin on his travels by happenstance. He offers to exorcise the Avatar Spirit from Fuzhin's body in exchange for restoring economic balance to the tribe. Fuzhin's bitter, edgy exterior flies in the face of Sahyir's passive, shy personality. He wields a sword hilt that can produce an Ice Sword, given to him by a Samurai Spirit, and is far too eager to wave it around because he is a big otaku fan.
Nitu is a congenitally-legless Earthbender girl who was left alone in the Spirit Wilds as an infant, and has grown to become a jungle queen. She may have no legs, but that doesn't stop her from bracing any challenge she faces. In fact, with Earthbending powers, she can produce legs for herself anytime she wants. She does have a big ego for herself, and is under the impression that she's a spirit, so she's not afraid of dying, which can put her into great trouble. She's also quite insane. Insanely talented... but also insane.
I would love to expand on these characters and the world some more in the future. And I think I will do that. :D
